About The Therapist
Trevor Kraft MA MFT, RSW is an "out of the box" counsellor, who isn’t afraid of getting his hands dirty in the mud people are in. He draws from his own life experiences which often gives him permission to walk along side others in their hardships. He is creative, intuitive, and full of passion for others. He is often been called “Truthful Trevor”, as he strives to encourage clients to face their truths. These truths bring freedom into the lives of those Trevor inspires hope.
Trevor graduated from Summit Pacific College in Abbotsford B.C. with a Bachelors degree majoring in Foundations of Counselling. He also attained his Masters of Arts in Marriage and Family Counselling from Briercrest Seminary in Saskatchewan. He is a life learner and has taken related courses and workshops from other educational institutes.
Trevor draws from a wide variety of counselling and therapy approaches including but not limited to Narrative Therapy, Psychodynamic, Family Systems Therapy, Object Relations, Bowen Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Emotionally Focused Therapy. Trevor refers to himself as a collaborative and holistic therapist, integrating all parts of the self; mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual.
Trevor is a Registered Social Worker with the Manitoba Association of Social Workers. Trevor also draws from his current involvement in Crisis Response Services as a Crisis Unit Practitioner, within the Manitoba Health Regions. He takes very serious the lives and well being of others. His passion is clearly offering "refuge". This passion is very evident and quickly reflected in his professional practice and personal life.
